Israel A. Hartman, MD
Israel A. Hartman, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas Texas as well as in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. He is also an endocrinologist in private practice in Arlington, Texas. He has historically served as the President of The Texas Chapter of The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and has previously been Medical Director of Emergency Services at Kindred Hospital of Arlington and Fort Worth.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Dr. Hartman received his degree in medicine and surgery from Universidad Autónoma de Centro América in San José, Costa Rica. He fulfilled a rotational internship at San Juan de Dios and National Children’s Hospital, in Costa Rica, and an internship and residency in internal medicine at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. He later completed a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
Dr. Hartman has been involved with many research and development studies for drugs to treat diabetes and high blood pressure. He is a clinical consultant for numerous pharmaceutical companies.
